What is InkShots?

InkShots is a creative space that empowers you to write your own story. Dive into this creative writing workshop that equips you with tools to expand and deepen your thinking, crafting them into precise and impactful words on paper.

InkShots is where your story finds its voice. 

Who should take this workshop?

Any thinking individual from the age of 18 to 80 plus. 

• You are a student and want to add that extra finesse to your essays.

What to expect from the workshop?

This is a three-hour workshop at the end of which we will chill and exchange ideas over some chai/ coffee and nippat/cookies. 

In the three hours you can expect a dynamic and supportive environment designed to ignite your creativity and hone your writing skills. You are sure to take back a deeper understanding of storytelling principles, improved writing skills, and a renewed sense of enthusiasm for your creative projects.

Here's what you will experience:

• You will be introduced to the fundamentals of creative writing (popularly referred to as storytelling) from plot structure to setting the scene and crafting dialogue.

• Interactive exercises: You'll engage in hands-on writing exercises and prompts designed to spark inspiration and encourage experimentation with different styles and genres.

• You will be introduced to the fundamentals of visual storytelling.

• Feedback: You will have the opportunity to share your work with the group for constructive feedback. This can help you refine your writing and gain valuable insights from fellow writers.

• Discussion and collaboration: Discussions to exchange ideas, brainstorm story concepts, and collaborate on creative projects.

• Inspiration and motivation: Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals in a supportive environment can be incredibly motivating. You'll be inspired by others' creativity and encouraged to push your own boundaries as a writer.

• Resources and tools: You will receive resources such as reading materials, writing prompts, and recommended books or websites to further develop your craft outside of the workshop sessions.

• Networking opportunities: This is a great way to connect with other writers, potentially leading to ongoing writing groups, partnerships, or mentorship opportunities.

What is the duration of the workshop?

It is a three-hour workshop followed by tea and snacks.

This InkShots Creative Writing Workshop was held in June 2024 in Bangalore. In the words of the participants it was a great immersive experience, where they were equipped with writing tools to start their writing work.  We cherish the writers community that we are building.
